Team EliteFTS Member Fought Breaks All-Time World Record at IPA Pro-Am

Sharonville, Ohio — (Aug. 23, 2008)— Team EliteFTS powerlifter Chuck Fought (Hilliard, Ohio) broke the world record in his weight class en route to his first career professional powerlifting title at the International Powerlifting Association (IPA) Pro-Am on Aug. 23 in Sharonville, Ohio.

A 2003 graduate of Hilliard Darby High School and former junior world champion, Fought captured the 308-pound division with a total of 2,670 pounds, eclipsing his personal best by 120 pounds. His overall total included three other personal bests, including a squat of 1,080 pounds, a bench press of 715 pounds and a deadlift of 875 pounds.

“Considering the caliber of competition at this meet, you cannot help but be impressed with Chuck’s performance this afternoon,” said Elite Fitness Systems Founder and President Dave Tate. “At 22, this is only the start of what he can to accomplish.
