Prepping for the APF-AAPF Orlando Barbell Florida State Meet - February 28, 2015. Qualified National Strongman competitor and will be competing this coming October, 2015. I am here to live, learn, and pass on.

18 days out and 8 lbs over my weight class (132 lb weight class). It's that time to start implementing GPP and high intensity training to lower my body weight as well as clean up the diet and try not to consume carbs until before and after training.

Worked up to my squat opener (255 lbs) for 3 singles. I do multiple singles with my openers when I am close to the meet just because it's weight I know I can hit and feel comfortable with.

Things that can go wrong (yet right): A little dance off if you film too early, when someone's phone that is connected to the radio rings during your setup (it's actually not ok but you keep going), and...there is really nothing bad to say about box squats.

Followed by:

  • Pause squats 3 x 5
  • Box squats ( targeting the hamstrings and glutes) 4 x 8
  • Abductions 3 x 20
Then did a high intensity routine outside to get my heart rate going with the sand bag which weighs about 20 lbs I believe. Did this for 20 minutes (30 second rest between each set)

20 lunges (each leg)

20 squats

21015 high intensity

Thank you for being a part of my journey. Suggestions and comments are always welcomed!
