With last week being a bit on the humbling side, I was looking forward to a big squat session to get things back on track.

Looks like I got it.

The lift for the day was a box squat with 3 chains. I was looking forward to this one because now that my back is feeling consistently good and my new gear seems to be doing the trick, I need to start loading my top end and get used to heavy weights again. Here's how it went.

Bar (60) x a bunch

Chain x 5

150 x 5

240 x 1

290 x 1

330 x 1

380 x 1

420 x 1

470 x 1

510 x 1

Up until this point, I had been wearing just my Metal Original Pro Brief. Although I still felt strong in just the brief, I decided to add the Pro suit to be able to work up a bit higher.

560 x 1

600 x 1

Here is the final set in the brief (510) and the final suit set (600).

The 600 felt great! The last time I worked up with chain, I hit 650 with only 2 chain. But this was on a higher box, with stiffer gear, and it was only 2 weeks before the meet of my life, where I set my all-time pr of 805@198. This far out, I really couldn't be happier!
