I’ve got an awesome Bench Press Builder, The Dynamic Pin Press today and it will help you build a bigger bench press. Let’s get this out front right away: I stole this from a few friends after they added it into their training to correct some issue and get strong(er).
I always like to give credit where it is due so a big thanks to Rachel Foster and Mike Galante for sharing this with me.
We should all know that the Pin Press is a great Bench Builder right?
Well, this is called a Pin Press but in all reality it isn’t.
A true Pin Press is done from the bottom up off the pins. The weight begins at a dead stop at your weakest point. In the Dynamic Pin Press, we start it at the top like a normal bench press.
I go over all the detail in the video below, so why read when you can watch?
Watch the video on the Bench Press Builder: The Dynamic Pin Press below.
This can also be used as a Max Effort exercise as well.
A few key points to remember for the Dynamic Pin Press are:
- Set the pins up either just a hair above where you touch or just below your sticking point
- Touch the pins SOFT
- Do not lose positions, especially the upper back
- Drive the hips hard as you come off the pins and all the way through to lock out
- Explode off the pins
