If over head work hurts, try these! Do a shoulder press. Use a band or weight or combination of both. The band will limit the stress in the most vulnerable position. Try not to over extend your thoracic spine. If you are doing these right you will get a big stress around the lower part of the scapula. The point of this is not to just crush the anterior deltoid.
