Adjust your rack to the correct height for your squat. Hang a leader chain (the small one) over the bar in a loop. Hang the big chain inside the leader chain so that there are a few links on the floor. There also HAS to be a couple links on the floor when the lifter is standing with the bar. Take your second leader chain and hang it next to the first one and make them the same length. Next, hang your other chain set up on the other side of the bar. Once these are on, stand up with the bar in your squat stance and make sure there are a couple links touching the floor. Now your chain length is set. It’s a good idea to mark your leader chain somehow so you don’t have to do this every time you squat. A zip tie or duct tape works well for marking the links. Elitefts E-Z loaders are also a great option to save time during set up.
