I share my space with another strength coach who comes in and takes over long after I'm gone for the day.
He has a few guys that need to train early and I'm cool with that.
Sometimes they'll ask for a spot or some recommendation which I have no issue helping.
Today one such soul was doing some "armor building" and planned to do five sets of five bench press with 315 pounds. (good thing, because I don't waste time spotting less than that)
On his third set he gets stuck with rep number four and I tell him..."If you don't get it off your chest, you'll never be able to breathe!". When I thought about that statement of motivation, I realized how it also applies to life in general.
"If you don't get something off your chest you never be able to breathe" is quite appropriate at issues you keep holding in. Even if you think it might bother the person you need to unload on, you can do it in a diplomatic way. Take a deep breath and let 'er rip! Just like the guy who was stapled to the bench!!!
