I made it! I really wanted to get below 200 lbs by the end of the year. Even more so I wanted to get there by 12/24 so I could enjoy Christmas Eve and Christmas without having to be strict on my diet. Ironically I fell off the wagon just a bit on Christmas, but that's another post for another day.
Hitting 198.5 equals a total of 130 lbs lost from my heaviest. I have seen 198 before, but that was when cutting weight. I'd see that number for about a minute before I'd pack the pounds back on. Now, the numbers I see on the scale are walking around numbers.
Although I'm sure this will offend some "Rhodestown Rules" dictated that "Any man under 200 lbs is a woman." I guess it's time for me to shave my legs and get that dress on. It's crazy, I never thought I'd weight under 200 lbs. Hell, there was a time when getting under 300 was a challenge.
Now starts the long process of reverse dieting. The goal is to let my body find a little equilibrium over the next couple of weeks. Then slowly trying to build my calories back up.
I ended up averaging just over 1,800 calories a day in the end. My goal is to get that number closer to 3,000 sometime in 2021 while maintaining the same bodyweight.
As far as my lifting and conditioning goals for 2021, I haven't quite figured those out yet. I still have a little meat left on the bone for 2020. Stay tuned folks.
P.S. I guess we could now diet on lower calories because when we broke under 2 bills, we stopped being male. So maybe the books were right?
