Being associated with so many people from my son's athletics has expanded to far reaches of the United States. (I have no idea how many people know me through him around the world...) At the moment we are between Sports and I am seeing how folks are progressing their youngsters through "Off Season" training.
Photos and videos confirm my biggest fear...They are seeking preparation work from someone they THINK knows what the fuck they are doing. I've witnessed movement patterns that I would STOP a kid from doing being loaded with weight for the sake of doing the weight. I've noticed "Circus Tricks" being used as "Functional and Specific" exercises based on the kid's sport.
I've seen absolute debauchery from the so called "Strength and Conditioning" coaches that have made themselves available.
Do I think I could do better? Nope! I know I can. I've been a part of State Championships, National Championships, and WORLD Championships. I've prepared people from adolescence through professional careers. I've EXTENDED Pro careers.
I am sure it's not because it's inconvenient to get to me. Hell, these folks drive their youngsters +8-15 hours to participate in a sport, why wouldn't they want to do at least that to get them to me?
Here's what I will finish with, You keep doing what you believe is the right thing (Pigs don't know pigs stink) and I will work with my kids that I have, and let's see who performs better come game time.
NO! Let's make that Game 5 of the Stanley Cup or the World Series, or the Super Bowl for that much in let's say...10 years?
Good luck with that blown out ACL in the next two years. I only have one "I told you so" when it happens, so don't feel awkward when you request my services.
Can you tell I'm a bit miffed? I don't need the business like a lot of these hacks do, but you could have asked...
Oh by the way??? If you are on the EAST COAST...I can recommend at least SIX people that I am confident are better than your hack as well.
Lee Zimmerman at "Counter Strike" is a phone call away for me, and an unreal Hockey Prep and Skill coach.
