For June, we welcome Dr. Jordan Shallow to Team elitefts! Dr. Jordan Shallow, DC, is a strength and conditioning coach, powerlifter, consultant, and chiropractor from Windsor, Ontario. He is the founder and president of Pre-Script.com, former strength and conditioning coach for Stanford University Rugby, and former chiropractor at Apple World Headquarters. He competes in the 242-pound class in men’s classic raw powerlifting and his best competition lifts are a 749-pound squat, a 441-pound bench press, and a 755-pound deadlift. Dr. Jordan currently travels on behalf of Pre-Script.com and lectures and consults on principles of applied biomechanics centered on improving sports performance and injury risk management. Serving as an elitefts team member, Jordan is excited for the opportunity to provide answers to your problems to bridge the knowledge gap. He’s grateful for elitefts solving so many of his questions over the years, so he’s looking forward to paying it forward.

What can you expect to read in his coaching blog?

Hard truth.

There's been a shift in the industry; no longer does Photoshop marketing rule the roost. Instead, entitled academics who've never lifted anything heavier than a clipboard are trying to sway judgment and wield influence over consumers under the moral guise of "evidence-based research."

Results aren't made in a lab, they're made under the bar.

I may be an academic and a clinician, but I hold the titles of coach and athlete in the highest regard.

What can you expect to read in his monthly column?

Perspective.

I want to give readers a unique lens in which to look at sports performance, biomechanics, and injury risk management. Putting things in context and giving them perspective.

In a landscape that dumbs things down, I am going to ask my readers to smarten the f*ck up; this shit matters if it matters to you.

Aside from Dr. Jordan populating on the site today (check out his first blog: “Biceps: Big Arms, Big Total?”), our content scheduled for June falls in the following categories: business, nutrition, rehab, programming, powerlifting, bodybuilding, strongman, workouts, programs, and podcasts. Some special topics that’ll be covered in article form include: “Outlast the Fitness Industry Copycat, Critic, and Cutter” from Chris Cooper, “Simplifying Your Nutrition” from Tony Montgomery, “Managing Meet Day” from Dan Dalenberg, “2 Easy Ways to Increase Your Total” with JP Carroll, “Proper Plank Execution” from Brian LeRiche, “8-Weeks-Til-Camp Summer Program for High School Football” from Nate Harvey, “The Westside Barbell I Remember” from Dave Tate, “5 Ways to Find a Healthy Balance Between Bodybuilding and Family” from Skip Hill, “What’s Missing in Strongman” from Matt Mills, “For the Fathers and For the Fatherless” from Mark Dugdale, and more!

Mid-month, we will welcome John Meadows and Ben Pollack to the S5 Compound. All week long, they will be at the Compound for training, interviews, the Table Talk podcast, and more. We will also welcome Table Talk guests JM press founder JM Blakely and Phil Matusz, the associate director of strength and conditioning for The Ohio State University football team.

We’re also looking forward to visiting featured gyms: Xpress Fitness in London, Ohio, and Power in Motion in Gahanna, Ohio.
