Phil Matusz is the associate director of strength and conditioning for the Ohio State University football team, where he has been for several seasons now. He has been with the team for the 2014 College Football Playoff National Championship and for two Big Ten Conference Championships.
I was surprised to hear the NCAA has created a system of accountability. Good step, but sounds like it is misguided. The medical staff is NOT the right group to do this. Needs to be done by someone with an intimate knowledge of strength & conditioning and preferably someone with 20+ years collegiate s&c experience. I am one year removed from coaching, so do not know the details of this legislation.
Marcus, don't worry about what Ohio State is doing. Be concerned with what you know and how to make that work. You will never be able to implement someone else's program effectively.
