  Sole bends are the part of the hide that we use to make our belts. Most manufactures use the shoulders that have a much looser grain and therefor when it's tanned it becomes more flexible and will not last as long and can roll on the edges because there's not as much integrity in the leather.

  I just got my new P2 belt in the mail last Thursday. I can't tell you how impressed I am with this thing. Its hands down, the best belt I've ever seen or used, and thats saying a lot since I've only used it once. 
  
  When I took this thing out of the box I couldn't believe how heavy it was. Its basically 2 thick layers of rawhide pressed, and hand stitched together. Then its treated and polished to a really nice finish. The hardware is heavy duty, and again, you can tell its hand-made. I've never seen a belt constructed like this. 
  
  So, that being said, my initial concern was that it was going to be impossible to break in because of the way it was made. This thick of pure leather is stiff as hell. Well, I was dead wrong there. Because of the treatment process the P2 was almost fully broken in by the end of my training session. After working it around in my hands a little bit PWO, its now fully broken in and ready to go. 
  
  I'm looking forward to rocking this thing for years to come, and shattering PR's in it. The support is top notch and the quality is unparalleled. There's also a lot of adjustibility to it so its going to fit me even if I gain a ton of weight. For reference I got a size L and I measure about 41" around the belly button with a bloat. That leaves me several holes in each direction.
