George Hood, a 57 year old United States Marine Corps Veteran from Carlsbad, California crushed the world record plank time of 4 hours and 26 minutes with an astounding 5 hours, 15 minutes, and 15 seconds.
Hood now holds a total of seven Guinness World Records. He contributes his success to his insane training regimen which includes training sessions of 4-6 hours a day, planks up to 30 hours a week, and weighted planks using 20-40 pounds.
Hood, a personal trainer and group fitness instructor, held this abdominal plank to raise money for the Semper Fi Fund, a charity supporting injured U.S. Service Members. George says "this is the least I can do and the discomfort I feel right now pales in comparison to that which they have experienced on the battlefield."
