Elitefts is proud to announce the addition of Swede Burns as the newest team member and columnist for elitefts.com.
You may have noticed Swede's work appearing on our site and making its way around social media, particularly his popular Mistakes 101 series. Swede visited us during The Powerlifting Experience II, spent the whole day coaching, and even stuck around Sunday to film some video interviews about his training, his gym, and his ebook. We were impressed, so we started paying attention. It didn't take long to know that we liked what we saw.
The popularity of Swede's 5thSet ebook has far exceeded even our own expectations. It is difficult to break into the industry of training ebooks with so many methods currently going around, but Swede has managed to make a name for himself and for 5thSet. He did this by providing information in a way that helps every lifter he works with and every lifter that reads his ebook. 5thSet is an honest account of Swede's experiences and the training methodology he has developed and refined over time. Just like his articles, he is unapologetic in his writing and is afraid of no topic.
Even Dave Tate has great things to say about Swede:
"5thSet is one of the most engaging, complete, and thoughtfully designed programming ebooks I have ever seen. This guy is the real deal, and so is his program."
The combination of his personal experience as a lifter (Swede has broken powerlifting records multiple times, holding several to this day), coaching experience (Swede is the owner of Keyhole Barbell, where he coaches many world-class lifters), and thoughtful writing makes Swede a valuable asset for elitefts. As we continue to move forward in providing the highest quality educational content from lifters with the experience to back it up, we are certain he will bring coveted knowledge to our team. Everything Swede says has a lesson behind it.
