Just as HBO announces a Game of Thrones prequel series, Hafthor Bjornsson – or as diehard fans know him: Gregor “the Mountain” Clegane – works on his bench press.
Bjornsson, who guards the title of the world’s strongest man (and Cersei Lannister on the show), is training for Thor’s Powerlifting Challenge, a Dec. 15 meet in Reykjavík, Iceland.
While Bjornsson is no stranger to the strongman challenge, this is his first time participating in a powerlifting meet. He’s consistently won first place in strongman, so maybe he’ll win first in powerlifting?
Guess we’ll find out Dec. 15 – long before we’ll get that last season of Game of Thrones.
