Connor was a high school student out of Michigan who was fighting a battle with cancer that inevitably took his life earlier this year. In the late fall of 2014, Connor was given a very short life expectancy. His one wish was to travel to Relentless, MN to compete in the Spring of 2015. Defying the doctors diagnosis, not only did Connor train with the Relentless family at Detroit Barbell for the following three months, but he did in fact compete and close out the show at Relentless, MN 2015.
Connor passed away shortly there after.
This is what Relentless does, it ignites hope. Connor could have taken his diagnosis and wasted away his last months alive. The animal, the driving force that Relentless has become gives light in darkness, hope in times of doubt, and life in times of passing. It's not about the money, or the PR's, or the recognition, or the weight. It's about life, inspiring others to take full advantage of their lives and the lives of others. Please help us in our efforts in prep for Relentless Detroit on November 6th and 7th at Kirby Church in Flat Rock, MI.
