In the beginning of the article she showed how the body utilizes and burns fats. It should be noted that this is a very simplified version of what happens within the body:

Fat must first be released from a fat cell. It needs a reason to be released, so get moving.

That is why there are a ton of diet plans or workout regimes that claim, "If you follow these simple guidelines you will have chiseled abs." Sarah gets away from this; she did not produce a routine or nutrition guideline. Instead she shared three common situations people find themselves in that are related to overall body composition.
