Winner of the 2015 World's Strongest Man (WSM) and three-time champion Brian Shaw is as much a household name as any strength athlete. His WSM records in the deadlift and atlas stones still stand, and his top three finish in six of the last seven World's Strongest Man Finals show how dominant of a force he really is.
The 6-foot, 8-inch, 435-pound (via worldsstrongestman.com) doesn't appear to being going anywhere soon. Unlike his fellow top-three Strongmen, Zyndranus Savickas (who turns 40 this summer) and Hafthor Bjornsson (who has started a reputable acting career with a recurring role in HBO's Game of Thrones), Shaw seems to have an undisturbed future in Strongman.
If you care about strength sports, Brian Shaw is someone you want to know.
This week, VICE Sports released an inside look at the life and training of Brian Shaw. The short documentary shows what it's really like to live as The World's Strongest Man.
The most recent World's Strongest Man Finals was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Shaw took first place, defeating Zydranus Savickas, the 2014 champion.
