Today was the first day I was able to use our new belt squat as the main squat movement since we bought it. My reason for using the belt squat today was to be able to light up my lower body without wearing out my back. I have some heavy deads coming on Wednesday and I wanted my back to be as fresh as possible. I must say it was extremely nice to leave the gym with my lower half feeling like I just had a brutal squat workout, without my back, shoulders, elbows, etc feeling beat up too. I really think I will add the belt squat in for a replacement to squats more frequently as I prep for my next full powerlifting meet, which is Relentless MN in July. As the weights get heavier my middle/upper back really takes a beating more than anything else. Right between the shoulder blades. The elbows and shoulders hurt too but not in the same extreme.

Humper
Started out as working up to my heaviest set of 10 but then the shit talkin started. Nate has currently done the most weight for reps with the humper, which was 7 plates per side with 6 reps. Ego took over and we worked up to 8 plates. I hit 8 reps, so did Jason, but Nate had to be a dick and hit 9 reps
