Trying out the new grippers today on our drive home from the store before training. 200 lb grippers are no joke. I could do 5 each hand with a 3 second hold, that fried my forearms. We purchased 200, 250 and 300 lb grippers. Ken is working hard on his double overhand grip. One can never have enough tools in their tool box.
Off season training and I'm really liking doing whatever the hell I want when I want. It's fun and effective and keeps training interesting. Although today everything felt heavy as heck I still managed a good session.
TRAPBAR DEADLIFTS
256 LBS X 3/3
296 LBS X 3/3/3
256 LBS X 3 WITH 5 SHRUGS AT TOP X 3 SETS

BELT SQUAT HOLDS
270 LBS X 5 MINS
GHR BACK EXTENSIONS WITH KETTLEBELL
10/10/10
GHR PLANKS (THESE WERE HARD)
1 MIN SET X 3 ROUNDS
That is all I could muster up today, everything felt heavy, that is a sign, stop while you are ahead. I'm still happy with what I accomplished, I have never done 256 lb shrugs before.
It goes to show you that not every training session you are going to feel good. Fight the good fight, no when to quit, train with intensity and it will all come together in the end.
