Today the Unit was like a sauna. Or maybe I was just sweating out all my carbz from Saturday. Either way, I had almost totally soaked through my shirt by the time I finished my warmup. I also started to get pretty passy-outty toward the end of training so I shortened conditioning drastically to avoid pulling a Ladewski (Matt, not Julia). I also might end up training deadlift again tomorrow even though I am specifically trying to avoid that because Wednesday is my first day of physical therapy school and I don't want to miss training or have to push it back because I am learning a whole new schedule cause then it would sod up my training/recovery for events this weekend at Colosseum. Anyway, this is how my training went down today.
Axle Power Cleans
complex x 70
3x100
2x120
1x140
12x2x155
Banded Axle Deadlifts (bow and arrow with 2 light bands)
3x90
2x180
1x270
6x3x295 - Had to use chalk after the third set because I was so sweaty that the bar almost slipped from my hands on all three reps and my shirt and towel were soaked through and useless for drying my hands and forearms.
SS: Log Clean & Jerk (clean once)/Band Assisted Pullups
complex x 85/3xBW-light
3x135/3xBW-light
3x185/3xBW-light
5x{3x225/3xBW-light} - Stuck with the band assist on pullups to give my biceps a rest and it definitely helped and helped me focus more on using my lats and being explosive.
Prowler
4x100' x prowler+50 - These felt pretty not bad while doing them, but as soon as I stopped after each run the world started to brown out, and not in the I-just-dropped-a-love-nugget-in-my-swamp-shorts kind of way.
