FEAR. If fear paralyzes you, you need to reevaluate who and what you are. I see it all too often in other people and too often for my comfort, I see it in myself. .
.
You come to a gym with 4 men who have squatted 900lbs, a woman with a pro total, another woman who has held 2 all time world records, a literal doctor, an athletic trainer, and countless others who have lived life way harder than most. .
.
You stay in your lane. You stagnate. You don't learn. You don't grow. You don't get better. .
.
All because of fear. You are too paralyzed to put yourself out there. To risk embarrassment and bother someone. To ask questions. They may shit talk you or shut you down. But if they are worth their salt, they will never refuse to help. Not in this gym. .
.
.
I understand fear. I WAS you. I paid for the seminars. I begged to be able to train with people stronger than me. Ididn't compete in my home state for 6 years. If you want to be better you have to get used to the terror and apprehension and DO IT ANYWAY. Be fucking terrified. But do it anyway. You can expand that to a lot of shit. .
.
Ask questions. Take risks. Learn. Grow. Just don't fucking stop.
