Sunday is a conditioning day. Hmmm, would it be the airdyne, treadmill, a hike, nope, it is stand up paddle board season. SUP is great for conditioning. It burns twice the calories of walking alone. In addition, it works the whole body, especially the core. Most importantly, it will give my new semi decent, non embarrassing physique a nice all over tan.

What is really cool is that I got myself a new ride to carry the boards to the beach. Jess and I dig paddle boarding so much I wanted to get a truck with a longer bed and no bed cover to make it easier to load and unload them. We plan on going a lot. Now, I can actually pack them up myself. It only took me ten minutes from start to finish. Not bad at all.

When we hit the beach, we paddled way out to where boats travel. There were some Beluga whales spotted a couple weeks ago just a few towns over. I cannot imagine how I would react paddling near a whale. I get a little freaked when I see some decent sized fish jumping out of the water. I am just glad there has never been sharks spotted in the sound. I grew up watching Jaws, there were times I got scared in the tub.

So, no wales or sharks for that matter on our adventure. Just some good exercise. This is definitely a way of keeping conditioning fun.
