I'm currently training for the 2019 USPA Nationals in Columbus, Ohio. After dropping a couple weight classes, this meet will be second showing at 198 and real return to raw powerlifting after a couple years wearing gear.
Day 1 Training
Squat - Up to last warm up of 525
SSB Squat - 335 x 3 x 3
Leg Extension - 3 x 15
Adductor Side Panks - 3 x 20 seconds per side
I had no desire to do this training session at all. Pretty typical for me when I get to the end of a training cycle. I'm sick of training and just want to get to the meet! Everything felt pretty good and moved well. No issues.
Day 2 Training
1 Board Bench - Up to opener of 405
Reverse Band Overload - still to a 1 board, 405, 425, 445, 465 all singles.
DB Floor Press - 80s x 3 x 10
Chest Supported Row - Double Green Bands
1/4 Dips - BW x 4 x 15
Chest Supported IYT - 5s x 3 x 10
Same thing here. Didn't really want to be in the gym. Again, this one went well and my upper body feels healthy. Should be in a good spot for the meet!
