We will be doing our final week of a three-week "return to squatting" phase this Saturday. It was a week of 10 work sets, 15 work sets and this week will be 20 work sets. Dave said just wait because on the 4th week you'll feel great and be ready to use heavier weights again. That part sounds good but 20 sets...hum its been awhile since I've done 20 work sets.
In preparation for 20 sets, I just did some volume work today.
leg press - empty sled
3 sets of 35 reps
belt squat
180 for 5 sets of 12 reps
good mornings
135 for 5 sets of 12 reps
band work for hips
adductors and abductors - used short mini band - 3 sets of 15 each
dimel deadlifts
135 for 2 sets of 20 reps
