I am taking this time to wish everyone far and near a very Merry Christmas. A day of celebration for most but also a dark day for some. Everyone has their own traditions, their own special memories of Christmas past and present.

The key to happiness is really finding your inner self, the child in you that brings back that special magic no matter what your age or circumstances may be.

Christmas isn't about just gift giving, in fact as the Scrooge says

Today is more of a reflection day for me, reflect on Christmas past and all the great memories I have. I have lost some loved ones whom I deeply morn on this day more than any day, my Mom and Dad on the top of that list. I don't use it as an excuse not to be happy but I take those memories and re-live them, I pass them on to my children and now my grandchildren.

We will celebrate our Christmas tomorrow and it will be the first time in many many years we will have all 6 of our kids together along with spouses, significant others and now this year our two beautiful Grandchildren. I cannot think of better gift than to have our immediate family all together in a day of celebration.

Although I have a truck load of gifts it's not what will be magical to me, getting together with the ones you love and who are closest to you is what matters to me.

So if your tradition is building a gingerbread house or leaving cookies and milk out for Santa then no matter your age keep doing it. Leave those carrots on the front lawn for Rudolph and his team if that's what you did for your kids when they were young.

Most of all, reflect on how lucky you are to wake up on the right side of the grass or snow. No matter how much money we have, happiness comes from within the heart and you are responsible for your own destiny.

Merry Christmas to everyone, enjoy this special season and may 2016 be a year for building bigger better dreams and memories.
