Block 10, Wave 2 - OH
First training day back in my garage gym in 6 weeks and it felt great to be able to just walk out and be surrounded by iron and awesomeness. My girlfriend had work tonight so we are postponing the celebration of the grisly demise of St. Valentine until the weekend. My log was more than happy to give me some warm hugs though.
Log C&J (clean once)
complex x 85
complex x 135
complex x 175
2x210
2x240
8x270 - My left shoulder isn't hurting, but is fatiguing quicker than my right when high stabilization demands are placed on it.
Towel Pullups/Seated Alt. Arm DBMP (L,R,Both=1)
4xBW/3x50
3x{10xBW/5x70}
5xBW
Towel pullups were big time awful the whole time I was away from home, even though I was using the same towels and essentially the same rack to do them. The only thing I can figure is that maybe working in the clinic was more fatiguing for my grip strength than I realized since all my training was done after work, but this training day was after my shortest day at work so I'm not really fully behind that theory. Whatever the reason, I went from struggling to get my numbers on towel pullups to being right back where I was before I left in terms of strength on this exercise, if not more advanced.
Paused Side Lying ER
15ea x 5
10ea x 5 - The second set was massively more fatiguing and burn-inducing than the first set.
I hereby and forthwith do solemnly pledge to push, pull, or otherwise propel a prowler or other sled at the end of training on my next training day.
