Everyone was out of town this weekend so I was left to train by myself at the Unit.  I tried to adjust my plan accordingly so that I would have minimal setup and cleanup, and while I think I did a pretty good job of that, today was still a crap day overall.  The weather was not that bad in terms of heat or humidity, but I was really really hot.  It was another one of the days where my shirt was not just wet, but drenched like I had just climbed out of a swimming pool fully clothed and I would wipe my face and hands and they would immediately be engulfed in a river of sweat again.  Adding to my frustration was the fact that I kept setting the cross bar on the yoke too high for me to use for overhead pressing, which either messed me up on my first attempted rep or let me get one and then messed up the next one.  The only good set of pressing I did was the last set.  And it took so long to get to it that the log was burning hot on my shoulders and neck, even though I was covering it up in between my sets.  Not a good day.

Log C&J/Yoke Press Medley

log warmups:

complex x 85

complex x 135

complex x 175

3x225

medleys (or attempts thereof):

1x255 + 0x250 - Yoke crossbar set too high.

2x{1x275 + 1x250} - Still need it lower, bottomed out on dip for second rep on both sets even though I lowered it after the first set here.

1x275 + 3x250 - Finally, I got in a halfway decent set.

Yoke Walk

2x60'x250 - Trying two different hand placements for each weight.

2x60'x450 - These both felt like an empty yoke.

2x60'x650 - Both of these runs were awful, so much so that I stopped here and called it for the day even though this was less weight for less distance than last time I did yoke two weeks ago.  I was so dehydrated by this point that every minute I spent at the Unit my ability to do anything dropped significantly.  This was not the day I had planned, but trying to do anything more would have been stupid.
