After talking about how I want to structure my next macrocycle of training with Nick "Tiny Dancer" O'Brien, I'm adding in more weightlifting and pseudo weightlifting work (i.e. log cleans are definitely NOT weightlifting) to all my training days during this short experimental training block to see A) if I like it and B) if I notice any benefit/detriment. I'll also be starting with high volume as I mentioned before, but working up to something moderately heavy on a few lifts at the end of the block before I go balls deep on my next big chunk of training.

3x8x275 - I need to add in an additional warmup set on these as the first set felt awful, but the second and third sets were cake. It could also have been the heat and humidity getting to me, but that particular situation will be remedied in the next few weeks.

That was all for today because it was too damn hot for a penguin to be just walkin' around and I had to leave to go train a friend. I haven't done sets of more than 5 reps or so on any compound lifts in a few months, so all this volume is kicking my butt and will continue to do so until I adapt and overcome.
