I recently lifted in the 2019 USPA National Championships where I totaled 1769 in wraps at 198 via a 655 squat, 451 bench and 661 deadlift. I'll be lifting at an APF meet in Chicago this December to wrap up the year.
Most of last week was a wash. I was traveling for work and did manage to get some random work in, but it was all deload focused. I'm a little beat up right now, but at 6 weeks out that's about right.
Sunday's squatting went super well! The plan was to work up to my projected opener for a double and then 2nd attempt with a reverse band.
Opener - 625 x 2
Reverse Band 2nd - 675. This was super easy, as was 625. I decided to be a little more aggressive and take another set at 700. With another 5 weeks of training, 700 might become a realistic second attempt.
Deadlift - 325 x 3 x 2
Pause Squat - BUFFALO BAR™ up to 405 x 3 for a couple sets. Pause squatting makes my squat strong! No need to be more complicated than this.
Finished out with some ab wheel roll outs and planks.
