I recently lifted in the 2019 USPA National Championships where I totaled 1767 in wraps at 198 via a 655 squat, 451 bench and 661 deadlift. I'm looking to compete in December to wrap up the year.

I lost my squat for awhile. After coming back to raw powerlifting after spending some time in gear, squatting was hard. Part of it was the technique change, going back and forth. That was tough on both ends (going equipped to coming back). Then I lost ~50 pounds and leverages changed dramatically. That made things feel way different. Finally, in the second half of 2018 I managed a hip injury that made squatting AWFUL for some time.

The squat used to be my best lift. I had been in the all time top 10 at 242 at one point. Then I sort of just lost it. I think this happens to a lot of lifters, between injuries and weight changes, what you're best at changes some. The only fix I have found is time. It took months of squatting while weighing ~210 to get used to the new leverages. I needed time to heal and lots of chiropractic help to get there. Now, I finally feel like it is coming back. The power that used to be there seems to be returning.

Squat - Paused, sleeves, buffalo bar™: 445 x 2 x 3, 515 x 1 x 3. I misloaded myself here on the first couple sets. Went up to over what I programmed and was still very easy. The 515 set was where I really felt that my squat was coming back to where it used to be.

Deadlift - 8 chains, 445 x 4 x 2

Box Squat - SS Yoke bar, 360 x 5 x 3

Sissy Squat - 45 x 3 x 15

Ab wheel roll out and hanging leg raises - 4 x 10 for both
