I went to Colosseum Gym this morning to judge at the Raw Strongman Challenge.  It was another very well run competition by NAS Maryland state chairman, Jon Ward.  I judged the 231s and the heavyweights and they, along with all the other guys and girls, put forth outstanding effort and kicked ass all day.  After standing out in the hot sun all day I headed over to Loyola University to train events myself with Nick, thankfully indoors.  I was definitely feeling a little worn out from judging, loading, etc. all morning, but ended up hitting some okay lifts, even though some of them were ugly as sin.

Axle Continental Clean & Jerk (clean once)

complex x 70

complex x 120

complex x 160

2x210 - Very ugly

2x240

2x270

2x290 - Second rep horrendously ugly and the clean was aggravating my left elbow so I stopped here.

Farmer's Walk

60'x110

60'x200

60'x270

60'x325 - My goal on this was to beat the heavyweight times from the competition for this event even though they only had to go 50' with the weight.  Mission accomplished.

Car Squat Trainer

5x45

5x135

5x225

5x315

5x405 - This looks much easier in the video than it felt to do when I was actually training.

Weight For Height Throw

5x30 - Right arm

1x30 - Left arm - I think this throw was actually the highest and best of the day, but it was an accident because it started to slip out of my hand early so I ended up releasing sooner than I did with the right which gave the kettlebell we used a more vertical flight path rather than the  crappy throws with my right hand.  I haven't done any sort of throwing of anything since I did shot and discus in high school, so I had very little idea WTF I was doing on this, but it was still pretty effing fun.
