Block 7, Wave 4 - Events
Today was the official opening of Iron Strong Crossfit in Salisbury, MD. After the end of their open house, there was open training for those so inclined, which included some CF, some PL, and some strongman shenanigans as well. Iron Strong is a 24 hour gym with top notch equipment and lots of room for activities. In addition to the competition CF rig and multitude of bars, bumpers, KBs, med balls, plyo boxes, rowers, climbing ropes, etc that one would expect to find at a well stocked CF gym, they also have some serious equipment from elitefts including two 3x3 power racks, a signature monolift, SS Yoke Bar, and a fine selection of PL bars from Texas. On top of an outstanding facility and equipment, both of the owners are also competitive strength athletes themselves in CF and PL. The arrival of this gym on the Eastern Shore fills a need for the strength athletics community that until now required driving a couple hours or more to get to. Additionally, anyone who TRAINS instead of merely WORKING OUT and who hates the insufferable BS of commercial gyms now has a refuge where they can get away from being told they are benching too heavy, grunting too loudly, or flat out that deadlifting is not allowed by the chrome and fern crowd.

2x clean only x 300 - Soon. The clean is feeling lighter and easier every time, but my knee is still being somewhat uncooperative.

50' x 340 - My picks are getting better, but this one was still slothful in its execution and followed by half a dozen drunken stumbles before I tightened up and picked up speed to more of my usual pace. This is still the heaviest I've gone on farmer's since hurting myself and with no drops I can't complain too much here.
