Gregg and I drove across the bridge to Columbia today to train with Nick at the Colosseum.  I've got nationals coming up in 3 weeks, Gregg is doing the Raw Challenge in August, and Nick is currently trying to decide whether or not he is able to go to nats with me.  My goals for the day were just to work up to comp weight on yoke, hit a couple heavy sets on car DL, and to work on my stone series.  Check, check, and check.

Yoke

2x60'x450

60'x630

60'x720

60'x810 - Felt pretty good.  I considered continuing to go up on weight, but passed in the interest of time and training smart a few weeks out from competing.

Car DL

5 x smart car

5 x smart car + 90

3 x smart car + 180

3 x toyota avalon (thanks to Nick Aloi for letting us use his boat!)

3 x avalon + 90 - Added metal jack DL suit

2 x avalon + 180

1 x avalon + 230 - If the calculations of NASA empoyees are to be believed, the particular car DL frame we were using yields a weight-in-hand of 13% of the gross vehicle weight.  With the added plates, this came out to 820 lbs.  I'm sure there is some room for error, but regardless it felt pretty damn heavy.

Atlas Stone Series

5x240 to 52"

2x{240 to 56", 250 to 52", 300 to 48", 330 to 44", 360 high pull}

Then Nick and I decided to do some conditioning while Gregg watched.  We immediately regretted our decision.

Prowler Hi/Lo

5x50' x prowler+250 high handles/50' x prowler+250 low handles - The distance may have been more than 50', but it was definitely at least 50'.  These were completely awful.
