It was a big price to pay.
Shannon's mom called Sunday morning and told us he fell the night before and didn't seem right in the morning.
We went and picked him up and found that he was really guarding his right arm/shoulder. We took him to our doctor and she checked him out. She couldn't see anything and told us, if he gets any worse, take him to the Children's Hospital (CHEO for short).
Odin napped and woke up crying and had bruising all around his neck area. We packed up and heading to CHEO.
I knew the shittest part was going to be the X-Rays. I was correct. We waited for about 1.5-2 hours before getting sent for x-rays. The Nice thing about CHEO is that it's set up for kids. There was lots of things to keep him busy and the time didn't seem to drag on at all.
We got the x-rays back and Odin had snapped his collar bone in half. No wonder he wasn't acting normal! Shannon's mom felt terrible, but it wasn't her fault. He's a crazy kid. These things happen! It still sucks seeing him in pain.
It's been a couple days now and he is dealing with it pretty well. He has been self regulating very well and isn't doing things that aggravate him. Pretty good life plan if you ask me!
These pics are from the waiting room. Notice the smirk. These are about 3 hours into the hospital visit too!
He's such a stud.
