Block 7, Wave 4 - OH/SQ Deload
After a minor glute strain followed up with a minor rotator cuff strain and still 2 midterm exams to go this week, it was actually time for a deload. Additional factors that pointed to the need for this were:
*awful effing lifts on bench and deadlift last week
*weight fluctuations up and down not predicted by my nutritional intake and larger than normal
*general feeling of malaise every time I go to train
*screwed up sleep/wake cycle and falling asleep on the couch almost every night by accident
No one of these things by itself would make me deload, but the combination of several factors pointing to my CNS and metabolism being completely off kilter with further modifications from a normal schedule necessitated by school this week and deload time it is. It is also especially relevant to point out here that the only way I know things are out of the ordinary is because I track them all the time by habit. It's not a guessing game of maybe things might be different or I feel kinda off, but I really don't know because I don't care enough about actually reaching any goals or being awesome or extraordinary to learn the skills of what to track and how to track it to know when things are not normal - I KNOW when things are not normal. So deload time it is.
