Named after legendary 1,000-pound raw squatter Ray Williams, the Big Ray Strap was inspired by the recovery methods used by some of the strongest athletes in the world. After seeing Ray hanging upside down using stretched bands to decompress his body, Spud Inc developed a stronger, more comfortable system capable of supporting larger athletes while delivering the same recovery benefits.
The Big Ray Strap allows athletes to safely invert and create traction through the hips, pelvis, and lower back. This decompression can help relieve tension built up from heavy training while promoting improved mobility and movement quality.
The inversion position also provides an excellent opportunity to work on hip mobility. By allowing the hips to open naturally while under gentle traction, athletes can improve range of motion and reduce the stiffness often associated with heavy lower-body training.
