What Happens
At TYAO
This isn't a seminar where you sit and watch. You train. Dave and the crew assess your squat, bench, and deadlift — identifying exactly where you break down technically, physically, and mentally — then put you to work fixing it. The Q&A at the end isn't generic. It's specific to you.
Dave and the crew work directly with you — not at you. Expect real-time feedback on every rep, not cues from across a room.
Technical, physical, and mental. Most people know something's wrong. After this weekend, you'll know exactly what it is and how to fix it.
Submaximal to maximal work on the squat, bench, and deadlift. Dave trains with you. This is not a watching event.
Small group. Your questions. Your program. Your path forward — covered in detail at the end of each day.

The Attendees
Who Attends
TYAO?
Powerlifters. Strength coaches. Athletes. People who've been training for years and know something's off but can't figure out what. People who want to get stronger and are willing to do what it takes.
The group is deliberately small. That's the point. Everyone gets coaching. No one gets lost in a crowd.
If you show up expecting to coast, this isn't for you. If you show up ready to work and honest about where you're falling short, you'll leave with more than you came with.

The Case For It
Why You
Should Do This
Two days of coaching from Dave Tate would cost thousands in private sessions — if you could even get them. Here, you're in the room, under the bar, with the crew, and you're getting work done.
Past attendees come back. That says something. The coaching carries over. The program adjustments carry over. The mental side of it — what you learn about your own training — carries over.
Applications are reviewed. Not everyone is accepted. That keeps the group serious and keeps the coaching tight.

What People
Actually Said
Where else could you go, pay for a weekend event, and add 55 pounds to your squat in under an hour — without drugs, new equipment, or training harder? Nowhere.
I learned more about myself and my training in those 2 days than I have in 5 years of competing. The level of time and patience Dave provided was unbelievable. I have never seen that kind of selfless drive to educate.
I learned more in 48 hours than I have in almost 20 years of gym experience.
If you think your technique is solid, Dave will still make it better. If you think you know what training hard is, Dave will teach you what a true 10-out-of-10 is.
TYAO goes an inch wide and a mile deep. If someone is serious about improving their training, knowledge, and strength — there is no comparison.
The straight-forwardness of it. Honest, to the point with no sugar-coated bullshit. The form and technique critique alone are worth it — let alone getting to spend hours talking about everything training-related with someone who has actually done it.
I came in with over 50 prepared questions and left not only with those answered but much more. Dave wasn't kidding when he said he wouldn't leave until all questions were answered.

This is NOT
For Everyone
Who should apply
Lifters who are intermediate or beyond — you've been under the bar long enough to know something's off, but you can't pinpoint what.
Strength coaches who want to see elite-level coaching in action and take that back to their athletes.
Anyone who comes ready with real questions — not someone looking to coast through a weekend.
People who can leave their ego at the door. The coaching only works if you're coachable.
Who should not apply
Total beginners who haven't put in the time to know what they don't know yet.
Anyone who thinks they have it figured out and just wants validation — that's not what happens here.
People who aren't ready to train hard. The TYAO session at the end of each day is not a demonstration — you're in it.
Applications are reviewed. The group is kept small by design. If you're on the fence, the application costs you nothing to fill out.
