When I'm in the middle of a good "chewing out" or giving someone some heated information and they answer me with, "I know, I know, Coach" to shut me up, I come back with "NO! You don't know. To know and not to do, is not to know. Because you didn't do it, you DON'T know".

This usually gets them perplexed and thinking, "What did he just say?" By doing this, I have their full attention this time.

I then lower my voice so they have to lean in to hear me (and it gives me closer range if I need to swat them) and NOW, I can make my point again.

For future reference, if you tell me you know, you better have DONE!
