So I'm in the middle of a strength phase and prepping for a "deadlift test" to see where I'm at. From the test, the next training cycle to get me to the 1000lb deadlift will be lined out for the first step in the #grandgoals plan. This means a lot of heavy deadlifting right now and not much else. If your going to excel in any one thing you have to compromise in other area's. You can't have everything. Just like your not going to be able to run a marathon and compete in powerlifting at an elite level. There is always some level of compromise. This same comes into play within the sport of powerlifting. But this is why we chase the total as the goal is to get as much on all 3 lifts as possible. My current plan is to push my deadlift to the absolute max for the time being. To push it to a level I would never realize if I was focusing on all 3 lifts. This is of course also ignoring the fact that I'm using straps which are not allowed in competition as well. I am doing more work than is shown below but its some light accessory work that is hit or miss due to my schedule and not critical at this point in time. After this block I will be diving into another hypertrophy phase. Workouts this month WORKOUT 1 - July 1 Deadlift off blocks with bands (80lbs less off the block) 865x1 975x1 932x1 953x1 WORKOUT 2 - July 4 Deadlift off the floor 900x2 900x2 900x2 WORKOUT 3 - July 7 Deadlift off blocks with bands (80lbs less off the block) 932x1 932x1 975x1 1020x2 WORKOUT 4 - July 11 Deadlift off the floor 915x1 915x1 915x2 WORKOUT 5 - July 14 Deadlift off blocks with bands (80lbs less off the block) 865x1 975x1 1041x1 1041x1 1041x0   Video will come out at the end of the month.

Doing a little pulling against bands today wearing my @eddycoan Strength & Honor shirt. I've been pulling heavy off the floor on Mondays and pulling against bands off 3" blocks later in the week for this training block. While one of the workouts is off 3" blocks it still marks the 6th workout so far in July where I have gone 900lbs or above in training.
