I don't allow sleeveless shirts in my program. It's just one of those things I started when a high school team I coached came in with tank shirts and the sleeves were used as headbands.

I asked the team what was up with that look.

They answered that it was a "tradition for seniors".

Considering they had a shitty record, I informed them that the tradition now ended.

They all had to wear sleeves from that point going forward.

When I re-entered the private sector, I continued that rule.

When the participant reached the necessary 18", I bumped it to 20".

That's when the fella asked me if there was going any time that the arm size was going to be big enough to wear sleeveless shirts.

I told him, "Since I've been around the biggest and the strongest people in the world for most of my life, there will NEVER be a time that your arms are going to impress me. So...NO!"

After doing a thousand reps, we had a number of people looking quite impressive walking out of the gym this morning. But guess what?

THEY ALL HAD THEIR SLEEVES ON AND WILL CONTINUE TO WEAR THEIR SLEEVES!

Pump your guns and give your significant other something to hold onto when you dance.
