I got in this crazy sport in 1983, so see the videos for these meets is awesome because I remember the gym owner letting us know the results and who lifted what when we came in to train the week after. This was pre-internet so he knew someone who was training with one of the lifters there and called the day after the meet. Old School WiFi ... and yes, we were told many of the squats were high as a kite. That shit has been around way before the internet.
