Now the weather has been awesome and sunrise is something to behold on any occasion, we moved our Saturday practice to the great outdoors. Why do you think trees are so big? Because they're outside!!! The morning air was cool, and the marine layer thick. Here's what we did: GET WET 'Og: slow and easy 1/4 mile Sprints: Escalating the intensity from 50% effort on up to and not exceeding 75% Jogging back from the end zone back to the 50 yard line was the rest interval. X 10   Next 30 yard lateral side steps without crossing over. X 10 five to the right; five to the left alternating each rep   Walking Lunge Steps: 10x30 yards with a light knee touch to the grass   Here's where things get fun Get Sandy The group gathered in three lines of five people in each at the Volleyball courts End to end sprints in deep sand: x10 @75%   Suicides: Run to the net line. Eat sand by doing 5 push ups, run back to the start or end line then sprint to the opposite end (duck under the net) and jog to the outside back to the beginning. x 10   Total time of workout including a couple water breaks was 47 minutes. Yep, sure was a LOT of fun   This old man also added a 5K run at my normal 0300 time in the morning.
