Holiday time again! There is one of two moods during them. Either you are into them, or you become decayed by them. Too often, I hear the excuse, "it's the holidays". Whatever the motive is behind that phrase, I know that there is a good one coming. "I'm having extra (fill in your favorite comfort food)because it's the holidays" "I'm so depressed, because I have no one and it's the holidays" "Oh one more (fill in a food or drink) won't kill you, after all it's the holidays" "I'm so busy doing (fill in an activity of no value) that I don't have time for the gym. I'll get back into it once the holidays are over" Now if you are of the ilk that BECAUSE it's the holidays, you are knocking it out of the park, hitting the training sessions, taking care of all the business you have going on AND...enjoying this time of season, then GREAT. You're in the club. But...if you are riddled by the excuses...remember, If I accept your excuse, it would be as bad as me giving you one. If you have a gym If you have a strength and conditioning coach If you have a Personal Trainer IF you have Training Partners and you are making excuses for your absence, then I'll tell you that you are a poor planner of time and/ or, You just might be LAZY as fak! If you are planning on "Getting back to it at the beginning of the year, I hope your facilities are a lot like me..."Not accepting any new people until March!" By the way...I consider you NEW if you have gone 14 days without training. Seven days without me makes one WEAK. 14 teen days makes TWO too weak.   The Holidays should be the REASON you are attending your workouts. Be thankful you CAN!   Dynamic Squats: 8x2x50% GHR: 125 reps in as few sets as possible Reverse Hyper: 3x15x3000 pounds with a bit of a swing Bike: 20 minutes Prowler: 8x40
