I have had back and hip pain forever. These conflating issues have made diagnosis and treatment really difficult. Like most of us, I patch myself up as best I can and keep training.

Like with most aches and pains we start to develop other issues. When one bodypart has to compensate for another muscular imbalances will eventually follow. Cue my recurring adductor issue.

I figured this adductor issue was due to my taking up running over the past few years. It felt strained and tight. So naturally, I tried stretching it. With no improvement after a bunch of sessions, I knew it was time for another approach.

Dr. Google led me down the rabbit hole for a bunch of hours and I ended up discovering my issue could be related to a weak gluteus medius. And holy sh!t did I hit the jackpot.

After testing a few rehab and strengthening exercises over the course of a couple of days, I found a few that really clicked. Not only has my adductor issue greatly improved, but my hip and back pain has well.

More and more I'm realizing trying to stretch out tightness and pain doesn't work for me at all. Finding the correct balance between mobility and strength yields far greater results.
