One morning for no particular reason, the bottom of my foot ached when I got up first thing. I've had plantar fasciitis before and actually RAN through it! This time though, I weigh about 30 lbs more and my head is a lot harder so I continued to run first thing in the morning until...well...I couldn't run at all. I went through the normal rehab like dorsi flex stretch for the gastrocs and soleous. I foamed rolled. Used a golf ball and marbles. NOTHING! Then out of the archives the Popliteus and to a lesser degree the Plantaris which is absent in about 10% of the population was remembered and how they function to fuck up the bottom of the foot. My lovely bride took the time to massage them for me (which I think she took great pleasure in doing since it caused me to jump and stiffen up like a cat in water) She used muscle rub and some CBD oil on them. I also bought a pair of compression socks specific to plantar fasciitis relief and took my body for its first spin today. So far...so good. 3.1 EASY and SLOW miles at the 11:00 AM hour and not the usual 3:30 has me feel'n purdy good right now. I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow!   Today's Training: 3.1 mile run and some foam rolling now.
