I just competed in NPC Junior Nationals on June 12-13. I came in with a much bigger and leaner package than years past. Moving into the off season I will be working on my raw strength and putting on size in my upper body. Competition plans are still to be determined. I will continue to work with Amit Sapir on my off-season dieting, gradually increasing food and working to put on some good muscle. Scott Paltos will be doing my training, reworking some strength work in with some volume work for the added muscle during the rebound dieting phase. Trained in the morning on Friday, then packed up the car and the kids for a little weekend visiting some family out of town. Always good to sit for a few hours driving after your legs are pooled with blood. Packed all my food, ate it cold on the way down. I'm in such a groove with my food that I don't even think twice about it. I used to be so happy to be out of prep dieting, but I'm in such a groove now that it's auto pilot. And I feel good about it. The progress so far has been amazing. Amit is super happy with the mass I've gained and Scott has been keeping the volume high to accommodate the food and some life stresses. LEGS Leg Press 3x50 Narrow stance box squat 10x3 @ 195, 205, 215, 230 for last set NOTE: These felt really good. For once I'm not overextending or reaching/sitting back too far (which for me isn't good b/c then I overextend). Felt strong and in a good position... strength is coming back fast. Pulsed Bulgarians- 4x8 each superset with Pulsed Lunges (elevated)- 4x12 each BW Hamstring curls 4x8 Stiff DB Deads 4x12 Bodyweight Squats x100 as fast as possible (Got these in under 2:00) :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4RESnH6qYXE
