The day Jim Wendler made me take a 60 pound PR, Just to see.   Video and lift from 2006: I sucked in a shirt. There is no other way to describe it. I decided to take time and only focus on it. At this point, Jim had pretty much figured the shirt out so was trying to get me where I needed to be. A 540 raw bench with a 610 shirt bench was not good at all and was a far cry off where it needed to be. My shoulder was already so bad I couldn't hold a squat bar on my back, so I figured I had nothing lose. This was my second or third shirt session of this training cycle, and I did 640 for an easy 5 pound 1-Board Shirt PR. Jim convinced me into taking a ride with 700.   This lift wasn't out of range based on all my indicator lifts. I figured if I had spotters and did as I was instructed to do there was a pretty good shot. After the weight was loaded and I sat on the bench I knew I was going to do it.   After this lift, I kicked a two-board press as hard as I could across the gym and broke two toes. The Price we pay for the dumb shit we do. LOL
