On Monday, Wed. and Friday, my son and I either hit the weight room or the fields out back of my house. Around the fields we have miles upon miles of running/biking trails. So today, The big Man decided to get the Rollers on and hit 1/4 mile sprint repeats. Because I can't keep up with him, I trail him on my bike carrying water and inspiration. Here's what his vitals looked like 7x 1/4 mile haul butt sprints Max Heart Rate: 185 bpm Active Calories: 60 Total Calories: 77 Total distance including warm up and cool down: 3.41 miles Average Pace: 6.3 Minute miles Mile 1= 6.0 Mile 2=6.05 Mile 3=6.39 Total WORK time: 22 minutes and 40 seconds Couple of cool points: 1. Heart rate recovery was almost IMMEDIATE 2. When I asked Hunter how he felt, he responded...ready?...."Dangerous!" 200 push ups are now being implemented at the time of this writing.
