Who: Me AND my cracking knees What: Weightlifting like I just don't care When: Friday November 19 2000 and the 15 Where: THE House of Biceps Why: I had convinced myself that today would be a day of reps and technical work. The Plan was 80% x 2 x 5 sets on both snatch and clean and jerk with light squats, light Viking Squats and heavy pulls in the session. Before I headed to the gym a friend reminded me that I can't really train TECHNIQUE at 80% anymore...I need 90% +. I need to be training at the point where things go wrong and THAT is where I need to force myself to be better. So the plan was to spend extra time warming up and then start moving quickly! Snatch warm up 1 muscle snatch and 1 snatch up to 85 kg 95 x 1 100 x 1 105 x 1 107.5 x 1, Season's Best 110 x 1, three reds in competition though Clean and Jerk warm ups 75 x 3 85 x 1 95 x 1 100 x 1 105 x 1 110 x 1, ugly but actually not horrible on video Snatch Pull Deadlifts 125 x 2 165 x 2 205 x 1 230/506 x 1 Clean Pull Deadlifts 215 x 2 235 / 517 x 2 Viking Squats 175 kg x 2 Squats 175 kg x 2 Then I went home, ate, and did a run of chemo.
